STOP! The anger before it becomes destructive!!! Try these 5 tips!

S: Stop, sense what you are doing. Use your senses/emotions to assess the situation.

T: Time-out: take a time out when you feel that you cannot constructively handle the anger. Remember to breathe and be sure you are calm before going onto the next step.

O: Opportunity: this is an opportunity for you to be positive and use assertive communication.

P: Positive communication: Use the opportunity to communicate in an assertive in positive manner to help solve the problem at hand.
